Meghan Owen is a masters level clinician in mental health counseling and drama therapy. With a compassionate approach and a deep commitment to holistic well-being, Meghan employs a range of techniques such as: expressive therapy/drama therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT and narrative therapy to help empower individuals on their journey of self-healing. Meghan has an interest in helping others amplify the authentic voice that they have inside of themselves in order to help guide life choices, advocate for needs, and discover their always-developing sense of self and fulfillment. Meghan received her MA in Mental Health Counseling and Drama Therapy from Lesley University, and was trained in a clinical hospital setting where she served individuals struggling from a variety of mental health diagnoses and life challenges. Additionally, Meghan was trained as a Victim Advocate and Crisis Counselor through the VIP program at New York Presbyterian Hospital where she provided assistance and counseling to those in situations of domestic abuse and/or experienced a traumatic event.
Meghan serves a wide range of populations and attends to a variety of issues, such as but not limited to: LGBTQIA+, women’s issues, depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, attachment, self-esteem/self-realization, relationship skills, and DV/IPV. Through a blend of traditional therapeutic techniques and innovative expressive modalities, Meghan can help guide individuals towards unlocking their potential, embracing their authentic selves, and navigating life’s challenges with resilience and grace.
