Samantha DeLois, LMHC, NCC
Samantha is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She works with individuals and families across all ages.
Sam’s primary area of interest is the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and helping individuals and families learn to cope with traumatic experiences, life transitions, and adjustments. Her clinical interests also include mood and anxiety disorders and depressive disorders. She uses an integrative therapeutic approach, using a variety of treatment modalities to best fit her client’s needs.
Sam also offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment to clients both in person and virtually. EMDR is an evidence-based practice that helps people heal from their emotional distress by reprocessing traumatic memories and reducing their negative effects. EMDR has been shown to be effective in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety disorders and depression.
Sam received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from the Boston University School of Medicine. Prior to her work at Kerzner Associates, she worked as a mental health clinician at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County providing specialized trauma interventions for children and families.
